CPR & AED

Course Description
CPR and AED is designed specifically for the general public and is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting. This program will help prepare people to respond to a cardiac arrest and choking for all ages. All of our courses follow accredited national guidelines.

Perfect for: 
Individuals who are NOT healthcare providers or professional rescuers but desire or are required to be certified in CPR and the use of an AED:

Class Description:

The program is a combination training of CPR, AED and First Aid Skills. It is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting. This program is consistent with national and international guidelines including OSHA, American Heart Association guidelines.

BLS for Healthcare Provider

Course Description
Individuals who require or desire this combination of training or knowledge and skills:
Basic Life Support training reinforces healthcare professionals' understanding of the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, basic steps of performing CPR, relieving choking, and using an AED, and the role of each link in the Chain of Survival.

Instructor- Led training with pre-hospital or in-facility environments, with a focus on High-Quality CPR and team dynamics.

Perfect For:
Individuals in the healthcare or professional rescuer field that are required to have professional-level basic life support training: nurses, EMT, EMS, Ambulance Staff, Fire Fighters, In Home Health Care, Doctors and Dental office staff, and other health care industries

Red Cross Babysitting Course

Class Description:
Our American Red Cross babysitter class give you access to best-in-class instructors who will share the latest information on child care, offer tips, and can answer all of your questions so that you're ready to start your own babysitting business. With lecture and class activities, these courses are engaging, informative and fun.

Class Description:
Basic First Aid was created to help students develop basic first aid knowledge, skills, and the confidence to respond. The program is an excellent choice for both the community and workplace setting, and conforms to the 2015 AHA and Red Cross Guidelines Update for First Aid, and OSHA requirements.

Perfect for:
Intended for individuals who are not healthcare providers or professional rescuers but desire or are required to be certified in basic first aid.

Wilderness and Remote First Aid Course

Course Description:
Designed for scouts and scout leaders, outdoor enthusiasts and anyone who works or spends time in remote environments, this course teaches advanced skills to be used in emergencies when help from professional first responders may be far away. Based on the Boy Scouts of America Wilderness First Aid Curriculum and Doctrine Guidelines, this course aligns with OSHA’s Best Practices for Workplace First Aid Training Programs

Prerequisites:
Must be at least 14 years old and hold current adult CPR/AED certification

Perfect For:
This course is designed for non-EMS responders including government, corporate, industry, lifeguards, security personnel, law enforcement, corrections personnel, and other individuals who are not EMS or healthcare providers, but desire or require certification in Advanced First Aid.

Bloodborne Pathogens

Class Description:
Bloodborne Pathogens program includes information that will help students understand what bloodborne pathogens are and how risks of exposure can be reduced for themselves and others. The program assists in satisfying the training requirements of the U.S. Department of Labor, OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens Standard (29 CFR 1910.1030).

Perfect For: Any individual or employee who has a reasonable anticipation of contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials as a result of performing designated job duties

Emergency Oxygen

Class Description:
Serious and life-threatening medical emergencies often cause oxygen to be depleted in the body leaving the victim at risk for shock. The ASHI Emergency Oxygen program focuses on administering emergency oxygen to breathing and non-breathing persons, emergency oxygen delivery systems, and integrating pulse oximetry. Prerequisites Current CPR or CPR and first aid certification

Course Content:
This American Safety & Health Institute course will detail the following topics:

  • How important emergency oxygen is to first aid
  • The difference between oxygen for first aid and for medical care
  • The components of an emergency oxygen system
  • How to assemble an emergency oxygen system
  • How to handle emergency oxygen safely
  • How to maintain an emergency oxygen system

Safety Training for Swim Coaches

Class Description:
Safety Training for Swim Coaches was developed in partnership with USA Swimming and American Red Cross.

Course teaches how to help:

  • Maintain a comfortable and safe environment for swimmers
  • Prevent accidents and emergencies
  • Respond to ill or injured swimmers in water or on land
  • new content on safe sport policies

HOPE - Hands On Practical Experience


Class Description:
HOPE
is a free community CPR class providing Hands On Practical Experience in a simplified form of CPR using only chest compressions (no mouth-to-mouth breaths). Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) strikes about 360,000 people every year

Perfect for: Anyone over the age of 8

Cost: Free

This is not a certification

We offer this class to groups of 8 that wish to learn the skills to save a life.
